Moto Guzzi V65 racer is shaken down and almost ready for Daytona.

Almost a Racebike

After 2 months and a couple thousand bucks, the V65 is starting to look like a racebike. It should run at Willow Springs next week. It features:
-Marzocchi 35mm front end
-17" front Dymag
-300mm cast iron Brembo brakes (!)
-rebuilt everything
-weight around 290 lbs (!)
-power should be ~ 40 hp.

Daytona here we come.

More Smallblock Stuff

Guzzi, in their infinite wisdom, painted the inside of then smallblock engine cases. Nice.

I also just checked ring gap on this 10k mile motor. 0.028!!!! It should be half of that! Luckily, Deeves in El Segundo (5 miles from home base) still had rings in stock for it. That saved me from ordering from Italy. Thanks to Gordon at MG Cycle for the tip.
